Things got a little heated View between Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin when discussing the viral post about the man who said his fiance ‘isn’t the prettiest woman’ or ‘the smartest’.

As reported by Outsider, during Thursday’s episode’s Hot Topics segment, the women discussed a viral story about a man’s controversial social media post about his new fiancee.

“You are not the most beautiful woman, nor are you the smartest woman, but I choose never to find perfection in anyone else,” wrote the podcast host Solomon Buchi. “That may not sound like a compliment. But it’s a realistic basis for love.”

The man’s post has received great popularity online, with many calling for the man’s fiancée to leave him. It even caused View hosts to disagree.

Whoopi Goldberg saw nothing wrong with the man’s social media post.

Veteran co-host Whoopi Goldberg kicked off the discussion by sharing that she didn’t see a problem with what the man wrote about his fiancée.

“I didn’t think that was a bad thing,” she said, explaining that she understood what the groom-to-be was trying to say.

Sunny Hostin disagreed with Whoopi Goldberg, saying the man should have lied to his future wife.

Immediately after Goldberg shared her thoughts on the matter, co-host Sunny Hostin offered an opposing opinion.

“I’m worried about this guy,” she said. “I hate him. But I’m worried about this guy for this woman. I wouldn’t marry him after he said that.

“When they grow up, what is he going to do?” Hostin continued. “’Oh baby, you look a little fat today. Oh baby, that was really stupid of you to say that. I do not like it. Your partner should be lying to you.

No!” Whoopi said in response. “They shouldn’t be lying to you. Oh my God!”

The two women continued to disagree with the increasingly heated conversation until Whoopi looked at the ceiling and said, “Oh my God! Please God, hit me now.

Companion View the co-host agreed with Whoopi Goldberg. “I hope his proposal was a little more romantic,” she said. “But that in itself, I understood where he was coming from.”

Like the co-hosts of The View, fans of the show were divided over who was right.

Buchi also shared the conversation from ‘The View’ on his Instagram:
