Katy Perry was unimpressed with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan on Sunday’s “American Idol.”

Aretha Franklin’s granddaughter Grace, 15, auditioned for ‘Killing Me Softly’ in the season 20 premiere. When Perry asked her if she had another song, the teenager sang the track of his grandmother “Ain’t No Way”.

Grace said before her performance, “I was very close to my grandmother. I have to see her all the time. I traveled a lot with her. I don’t think I fully understood the fact that she was known around the world, because to me she was always just a grandmother.

Perry said after Grace’s second track, “I loved your rendition of your grandmother’s song.”

Richie admitted, “You’re 15. You have the family line. What we have to put in now is time and work to level it up,” added Bryan: “Age and voice all have to come together on the same path.

Things then got a little heated, as Bryan voted no and Perry voted yes, insisting that Grace had “stardust”.

Encouraging the contestant to return after working on herself and her shyness, Richie said, “Trust me. If you go back and forth and put the shyness behind you and the voice in front of you, you’re going to be something amazing and I don’t want to be the one to tip you over and down at this infantile stage. ”

By then, Perry had already left the stage, shouting, “She might be a little shy. I’m going to lie down on the floor. I left this show. I go to the bar. There’s something wrong with your ears.

” You are all crazy !
